I travelled to Dunnet Head, the most northerly point of mainland UK, to experience the extended period of daylight that you get over the summer solstice. I stayed up all night observing the patterns and play of light on the sea. Perched on the vast sea cliffs looking towards Orkney and the Old Man of Hoy, this image was captured at four in the morning, it never really went dark.
